Risk Maps Sudden Oak Death Menu

This map reflects nationally the relative risk of infestation from the Sudden Oak Death pathogen. The degree of risk was determined by considering factors based on what is understood thus far about the biology and ecology of P. ramorum.

The following factors were used in developing this map:
¨ The presence of likely hosts (both trees and shrubs)
¨ Likely pathways of introduction into new areas (rhododendron nurseries)
¨ Climatic factors (moisture and temperature)

This map is a result of the National Sudden Oak Death Detection Survey of forests which is implemented through the Forest Health Monitoring program (FHM).
